Passion with performance, pays off!

The stories of students' experience at Chetana Institute during Gandhiji's book selling activity, pours out passion and excitement in an overflowing measure. There's exceptional performance and vigor with regards to promoting Gandhian principles all around. To get a glimpse of all the action happening, do visit the facebook page of Jagruti 2012 :  http://www.facebook.com/groups/291696214230474/

It'll be a miss if i don't mention Sonali Kadam's(student) experience. On 27th March 2012 at 6 p.m she was able to sell an astounding number of 27 books in a short span of just 2 hours single handed at one of the branches of HDFC bank. Now, I call that exceptional performance! She say's the book selling activity gave her an opportunity to face opposing forces where few people disliked Gandhiji wherein she calmly heard them out by respecting their opinion without getting into any argument which is not fruitful though such talks were disturbing and discouraging. Well she carried it through with a smile on her face. She ran out of copies where there was more demand, so this in a way taught her to anticipate demand and learning to prospect henceforth.

Now the next experience that Sonali narrates is 'Bingo'. She was off her way to colaba to sell Gandhiji's books where she happened to interact with a group of 4 foreigners where she told them in detail about Gandhiji's book and the vision of Jagruti 2012. Guess what, they were convinced to make the purchase. As they were buying the book , Sonali asked them if they're visit to India was for tourist purpose. So they answered saying that they were here for work related activities. She she further inquired as to where they work. They said that they worked for HUL under customer relations. Sonali in all pomp responded to them saying that HUL was her dream company. Guess what happends next! They voluntarily asked Sonali to mail her CV where they gave their contact no and email id and they took more copies from her. This is indeed  a reward for efforts put in. So Sonali learnt the importance of going beyond book selling and striking a relationship with the customer. We can see that she'll be reaping the benefits!
